Anybody Have a Magic Wand?
Guest post by Nancy Dobias
Usually when I go to Myakka River State Park, my camera is focused on the wildlife or the scenery in the park. Today I decided to "sneak" a peek at the scenery outside the park and what a sight it was.
The river has expanded its banks and a vivid plush green dominates the grasses and trees.
The flowers that are growing in the wetlands provide a delicate touch to the landscape.
The moss on some trees taunt the imagination as your eyes are drawn to that opening in the trees and you wonder what might lie deeper, deeper into that darkness beyond.
Other trees are like old friends as they provide a welcoming wider passage into the magic of the Myakka. Sure would be nice to have an overlook.
